    What does JADE Engineering do?
    We are a traffic and transportation engineering consultancy based in Vancouver. We prepare traffic impact assessments, traffic management plans, parking and loading studies, traffic operations and safety studies, and concept designs for development and construction projects across British Columbia.
    Does my development need a traffic study?
    It depends on the municipality, the land use and the size of the project. Some municipalities publish a threshold, others decide case by case. Our free checker shows the published rule for 36 BC municipalities, with the source linked. If your municipality has asked for a study, send us the request and we will scope it.
    Who seals your reports?
    Every engineering deliverable is prepared and sealed by a Professional Engineer registered with Engineers and Geoscientists BC. JADE holds Permit to Practice 1006188.
    Which areas do you cover?
    Projects anywhere in British Columbia, including Metro Vancouver, the Fraser Valley, Vancouver Island, the Interior and the North.
    How do I get a proposal?
    Send us the site address, the type and size of the development and anything the municipality has asked for. We reply within one business day, and the scope and fee are confirmed in writing before any work starts.
    Do you work with traffic-control companies?
    Yes. We check and seal Category 1 and 2 plans drawn by traffic-control companies and contractors, and we prepare Category 3 plans ourselves. We can also prepare Category 1 and 2 plans and construction traffic management plans when you need them.
    Do you handle municipal comments and resubmissions?
    Yes. We can coordinate technical questions with the reviewing authority and support responses and resubmissions within the agreed scope.
